Each day in the U.S., over 20 veterans take their own lives—a heartbreaking reality that Cavalla Studios was created to raise awareness about. Founder and owner Brendan Hamm, a Marine who served for 17 years, knows firsthand the toll that war and trauma can take on our service members. Many of Brendan’s Marines were wounded or lost their lives in defense of this great nation. Others returned home with invisible wounds—struggling in silence and ultimately, tragically, taking their own lives.

Cavalla Studios was born from Brendan’s deep desire to honor the lives lost and prevent veteran suicide, one candle at a time. By sharing his story and creating products that carry purpose, Brendan aims to raise awareness about the mental health struggles many veterans face.

The Cavalla candle, a symbol of resilience and strength, was hand-poured by Brendan himself. The name "Cavalla," Italian for horse, was inspired by the therapy horses at Ironstone Farm, where equine-assisted programs help veterans with PTSD heal and recover. These therapy horses have been a source of inspiration and healing for Brendan and his family, and they represent the strength and support that veterans need.

To further support these causes, 10% of all profits from Cavalla Studios go directly to Massachusetts Fallen Heroes, Home Base, and Ironstone Farm—organizations dedicated to helping veterans heal from the invisible wounds of war.

Through each candle, we honor the fallen, support the living, and work together to create a brighter, more hopeful future for our veterans.
